Rocks are rolling in my head
And I’m breathing in a lung of lead
So I watch the TV instead talk of madness
Carpet’s bleeding in the hall
And vines inside grown on the wall
The telephone is too bashful to call up the landlord

And birds are singing song’s of loss
As Jesus sick of growing moss
Has crawled down from his bloody cross to rethink it
He knows she can never win
Cause outside as the day begins
She’s inside on a drinking binge going nowhere

The river decides to run uphill
And the wind makes peace and lies dead still
Mother Nature pops a pill from peer pressure
And somewhere in a different place
A man has found his inner space
He’s hoping to redecorate come next tax time

And the coffee’s hot upon her lips
As glancing up from in between sips
She wonders at what if she’d missed the cruise ship
But the day is long and filled with streets
And people walking different beats
It’s easier when you got three feet in a circus

Well standing at a traffic light
A car has hit a mountain bike
And exchanging names, his is Mike, his is Tony
And Susie’s found out what she likes
She’s riding on a motorbike
She’d love to plug a hole in that dyke in Amsterdam

And a car with 18 monster wheels
Just revved to show its sex appeal
While all the transvestites on the street they squeal
Unbeknownst to he behind the wheel
And she is calling on the phone
And wants to know if I’m alone
